In one week I became a Mother in-law and a Grandmother

Last Tuesday the 21st my oldest daughter Kristine married her fateful love David. Then two days later she gave birth to their beautiful daughter Abigail Marie. Abi weighed 7lb 6oz and was 19.5 inches long. It was a magical week.

The wedding was splendid, very lovely and beautiful. My sister, her family and the beautiful lady that helped make the whole wedding possible, did an amazing job. It is good to have connections. I can not thank them enough.

We thought for sure Abi was coming the day of their wedding. Poor Kris was having contractions throughout the whole day. She even went into the hospital, but they sent her home, but by 1:30pm the next afternoon Kris was back in the hospital, this time to stay. She labored until about 1:30am the next morning, before the doctor decided it would be best to take Abi by C-section. Poor Abi's heart rate went up too high and stayed there. I did get the chance to stand at Kris's side and help her push off and on for about 2 hours, before they took her. What a wonderful experience. Kristine and David were incredible through the whole thing. They had an army of supporters and they did not turn away not one of them. The new family is very loved.

Mikie's band concert

Last night Mikie performed in a wonderful band concert. They all sounded fantastic. I'm very proud of Mikie, this is his fifth year in band and his fifth year playing the trumpet. Go Mikie!!! Plus he looks sharp. I aways love going to his concerts. It is a great way to spend an evening.
