Lazy post-turkey day

I would like to say I got some of my Christmas shopping done, but heck no, I said I was feeling lazy, not crazy. I would also like to say I put up my Christmas tree, but not a chance. It is buried deep in the black hole we call a garage. I didn't even shower until noon, it must be the turkey. I haven't even made dinner yet and it is almost 7pm. Must get up, must fight the laziness.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

I always have much to be thankful for, but today was extra special. It was the first holiday in our new home. It was wonderful, very relaxed and joyful. I am very blessed.

I would like to give thanks to my Husband for some how always making sure we have enough of what ever it is we may need.

I would like to give thanks to my wonderful kids. They bring joy to my heart and a smile on my face every day. I'm so very thankful they are all healthy now and may they all stay that way til the end of their time here. I love you all very much.

I would like to give thanks to my Sister and her family for being so wonderful. I love you guys, thanks for being a part of our life.

I would like to give thanks to all of the great long lost family members that have found us through the years. It is great to be talking to y'all again.

Bakin Pies

Today was the first time ever I made a pie of any kind from scratch. I've never had to before, because either my mother in-law made them or I bought them from the store. But because I now carefully read the ingredients that are in the foods we eat and try to stay away from things like (High Fructose Corn Syrup) (Hydrogenated oils) and things of that nature, buying pies were out of the question. And beings we are not currently talking to my mother in-law for various reasons, her baking them was also out of the question. It all turned out great though. Both of my lovely daughters helped and even my wonderful Husband, and in the end we made two pumpkin and two chocolate Cream pies. Yumm...

What a day

This morning I awoke to a wonderful breakfast, complete with cut up hash brown potatoes, eggs, toast and coffee. Oh, and a lovely plate of cookies, baked fresh, compliments of Hope and Max for me on my birthday. It was very sweet. Hope had got up at 4am, to make sure it would be done before I awoke at 6am. It was pretty cool.

I also got to see and visit with my Dad today. I really enjoyed that. I don't get to see him much anymore. Him and his wife Sydney brought gifts, and we chatted awhile.

Soon after that I took the treat Max made last night to his class for the Harvest Party. Max also had his first complete eye exam today. He has 20/20 vision in both eyes and everything looks great. I took him in because had been experiencing some blurry vision. We still don't know why his vision has been blurry, but now we know it is probably nothing serious.

Today was a good day.

Introducing myself

Hello, my name is Robin. I'm happily married with 5 kids, two in which are fully grown. We live in Washington, where I have lived all but two years of my life. We just recently moved out of a house we had lived in for fifteen years into a bit of a smaller home. We are all adjusting well. I enjoy being a stay at home mom, taking care of everyone and making sure the house is as it should be. I'm sure someday I'll continue my schooling and find a new career but I like this one for now.

For those who already know me, this is my new blog. I figured I could write more on here then I could on my MySpace.

Happy Holidays...
