Mikie and the Evergreen High School Band were in a Band Festival today. Other then the marching part of the band, this is the first time I've gotten the chance hear them play in a concert like setting. They looked and sounded wonderful.

I'm very proud of Mikie, this is his fifth year playing trumpet and he is doing great.

Today David asked Kristine to marry him. Of course she said; Yes. We are all very happy and excited for the three of them. Yes I said three. Kristine and David are also expecting a little girl at the end of April or the first part of May. (Abigail Marie)AKA (Jellybean) We are very excited about that as well. You can call me Grandma Robin or Nanna Robin.

This has been quite the year for us. A new home, soon to be, new grand baby, soon to be, new son in-law, a whole new lease on life is the way I see it. 2009 has been good to us so far. I feel very blessed, even with the economy is in the crapper. If family and friends were equal to money, I'd be richer then Bill Gates.

Two kids, two concerts, two different places, only one of me.

Both Max and Hope had concerts last night. Max had a band concert at a local middle school and Hope had a choir concert at her school. (AT THE SAME TIME... GRRR) So, needless to say Mike and I had to split up and each attend a concert with cameras in hand.

Mike and Mikie went with Max to his concert, while Kris and I went with Hope to hers.

Although I did have some camera troubles, all in all it went well. Hope looked great in the new choir robe, eventhough she hates it. They all looked and sang beautifully.

Max performed in another great band concert

Last night a few of the local 5Th grade bands performed with a local 6Th grade (Pacific Middle school) band and they all sounded great. Max once again looked very handsome and played very well. We all enjoyed listening to the bands play.

The evening wasn't without humor though. The 5Th grade students are used to playing a song from start to finish, so when the middle school band directors motioned for them to stop playing mid-way though a song they just kept on playing. One director after motioning several times, finally had to pick up the microphone and verbally ask them to stop. This was during rehearsal, before the concert began. This happened a few more times during rehearsal. It was quite comical. You just have to applaud their enthusiasm.
